The See! Chicago fall photo tour – attendee images

After three long years of waiting to do another See! Chicago photo tour, it finally happened.

It was four days of fun, photography and taking in the city through three different sets of eyes.

That is always the most fascinating thing to me. I love seeing what the attendees saw while we wandered the city of Chicago.

Fun times

Here’s just a fun video of them out creating all over the city.

The images of Chicago

One of the cool things about this group is that we’ve all known each other for quite a few years from various online photography groups. It was just like old friends getting together for a long weekend. With quite a bit of photography thrown in.

Despite the heat and a bit of rain, we covered a lot of ground.

Marjorie

I absolutely love the different and unique images Marjorie saw while she was here. Many of her images made me wish I had carried my camera with me. (I’ll explain that in another post.)

Wade

Wade was fully aware of what was going on around him at all times and his images show that. From the perfect ‘people’ moments to the perspectives and angles of his architectural images.

Darcee

From watching the light to creating images that reflect the vibe of the city, Darcee’s images captured all of that and more. I loved watching Darcee find her shots as we wandered through the city.

Thoughts on Chicago?

You have some of my thoughts and I’ll write up more in another post. What did Marjorie, Wade & Darcee have to say when asked, “What did you take away from your weekend of Seeing Chicago?”

  • I feel I started to get back into photography again.
  • The ability to better ‘see’ some patterns that I wouldn’t ordinarily look for
  • I learned a lot more about the architects that literally “made” Chicago.
  • I had SO much fun. It still feels a bit unreal. I’m so glad I did this and I hope it spurs me to do more!

Join me in 2023

After seeing these images I’m sure you’re just itching to join me for one of the See! Chicago tours in 2023.
