Rest – yes, it’s ok to take a break

Rest. Breathe. Relax. Ground.

Do you do these things? Really thoughtfully, mindfully practice any of these?

It’s important

How many of you have a to-do list miles long? How about all those project ideas, how many are still sitting on your hard drive in a document?

Personally, I’m constantly feeling behind or overwhelmed because the ideas never stop. I rarely ever get to them all. Or I get to them but then move on to the next without ever finishing the one I’ve started.

This all makes me feel like stopping to rest is a waste of time.

It’s not.

Without rest, we burn out. Our brains lose sharpness and our mental capacity diminishes. I don’t think that I’m the only one who experiences this. Am I?

I actually bring this point up quite a bit. Likely because it’s what works for me the most. What do you do to recharge? Do you have a go-to way of resting that really just grounds you and gets you back to being in a place where you can focus and get work done?
