What’s in a name?

What’s in a name?

This is a fun one to think about this week as you’re out with your phone or camera. Long or short name, it’s fun to look.

Finding letters for your name

This is an exercise that will get you to see more of what is around you. You’ll look further into what you see and find shapes, colors and yes even letters.

Whenever you are out (or in) with your camera look for things that make the shape of letters. Find all the letters of your first name and put them together to create a graphic of your name.

Create an image for each letter of your name. Here is mine. I have to admit, I have one from a few years ago that I can’t find so I just went out in the garage with my phone really quick to do this. Edited in Google Photos. Reminder: These are exercises, you are not creating images for your portfolio. Doing these types of exercises helps you be more aware of what you see when you are out taking photos.

So, find objects that make the shape of letters and spell your name out in images.

Share what you find on social media and tag them: #SeeWithLauriLetters so I can find them. I would love to share several here in my blog.
