12 Days of Sharing – Day 4

12 Days of Sharing – Day 4

It’s Day 4 of sharing artists and small business owners.

Deck the halls

With art! Yes, I have a very long list of photographers I could be sharing but I’m trying to mix it up and give you options by sharing painters, jewelry makers and people who can help you with your own work and business.

Day 4

Mel Graphics Santa painting
Meet Mel Graphics (Melyssa). I met Mel and her son at one of my exhibits at a local library. Her son won a print of mine and after chatting I discovered she is an artist as well. Her work ranges from custom pieces of pets to whimsical holiday paintings of everything from gnomes to cows in Santa hats. Most of her work is posted on the facebook page but she also has a website. Check out her work.

Wade Brooks photography
I’ve known Wade Brooks for quite a few years now, we met on Google+ and have been fortunate to meet in person a few times as well over the years. One of my favorite things about the online photography community is seeing the growth that has happened. Wade has gone from taking snapshots to creating images, experimenting and playing with different artistic techniques and producing a wonderful series using toy cars. You can follow along on his journey on his site or head over to his galleries to see what might look good in your own home or office.

Check back tomorrow for more unique gift ideas and amazing artists.

    1. Yay! I knew you’d like the Santa Cow… šŸ™‚

  2. Thanks, Lauri!!!
I truly enjoy meeting other photographers and watching them grow, too (including you!)!
I need to check out Mel and your other shares!

I’m planning an art wall in my new house now that I have four art prints from four artists (yours is the fourth). Once I am back employed, I’d really like to buy more art, maybe bigger or more frequent.

    1. You’re more than welcome Wade! That’s a great idea, I know a few other people who have done something similar.
